VICE PRESIDENT

Elizabeth has been part of the Dahlia Society for over a decade, and loves the dahlia growers who've become wonderful friends and mentors. She's always loved flower gardening, but dahlias have stolen her gardening heart!

TREASURER

Jody caught the dahlia bug in 2022 after buying her first tubers at Costco. She attended her first tuber sale at Sugarhouse Park in 2023 and the rest is history!

SECRETARY

Monica has only been growing dahlias since 2021, but she has systematically been replacing more vegetable beds every year with more dahlias.....

ADS REPRESENTATIVE

My father started the Utah Dahlia Society in 2008 and over the years I would visit when the tuber sale was happening and would help with the sale, but I never managed to visit in the fall when the dahlias were in bloom.   When I moved back to Utah to help my parents, I finally got to see his dahlia garden in full bloom and fell in love with the magnificent flowers.  I was amazed at the size of Emory Paul, Maki and Hana Hitosuji.  I have been growing dahlias for about ten years now and my favorites are Penhill Watermelon and Cafe Au Lait.

Board Member At-Large

Jan Litster has been a member of the Utah Dahlia Society since 2011.  She not only loves raising dahlias, but especially enjoys her association with the members of the Utah Dahlia Society.  When her dahlias are in bloom she loves to take a bouquet to church every Sunday. She also loves sharing her dahlia blooms with friends and neighbors.  A few years ago she found out that her love for dahlias had come to her from her great grandmother, who she never knew personally, but when she was reading her great grandmother's history, she saw a picture of her great grandmother in her garden of giant dinner plate dahlias.   

2025 TUBER SALE COORDINATORS

Darla loves the variety and sizes of dahlias.  Growing them is more of a challenge than expected, but increases determination!

Roberta joined Utah Dahlia Society for the friendly faces and fell in love with dahlias.  It adds perfect balance to her native plants and veggies.

2025 DAHLIA SHOW COORDINATORS

Richard and Elizabeth Jensen grew their first dahlias in 2023 and absolutely fell in love with them!  It has been a fun journey learning how to grow them and seeing all the amazing possibilities.  Richard and Elizabeth love to grow many other flowers as well as lots of tomato plants!  They love going on adventures with their kids and spending time in the garden as a family.
